A Dinner With Los Angeles Area University Lebanese Clubs
Sunday, November 25th, 2007 4 pm to 7 pm
On November 25, 2007, the Lebanese Collegiate Network (LCN) hosted its first Fundraiser Dinner at the Phoenicia Restaurant in Glendale, CA. Over 50 people were in attendance, including students, young professionals and established members of the Lebanese Community from all over Southern California.
Two board members from the six University Lebanese Clubs (ULCs) were invited to present their respective clubs to the attendees. These ULCs included California Polytechnic University of Pomona, University of Southern California, California State University of Dominguez Hills, UC Los Angeles, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine.
The event gave the University Lebanese Clubs an opportunity to interact with each other and plan co-sponsored events. After the ULC presentations the LCN Board introduced the numerous programs available for students. These programs include the “Academic Excellence Scholarship”, “Student Exchange Program” and “Most Outstanding ULC Award.”
This dinner brought in enough donations to fund the “Academic Excellence Scholarship.” The LCN Board thanks all students, professionals and members of the community that attended for their financial contributions. It is important that these tax-deductible donations continue to support the several initiatives the LCN is pursuing for the students.
The LCN Board is evermore determined to achieve the goals of developing the Lebanese students academically and professionally. If you would like to donate or learn more about the event or future events and programs please visit https://mylcn.org/sponsors/donate/
Remember, each dollar from your tax-deductible donation will be invested in the student members of the LCN. Please help us invest in our student membership.
