A Dinner with DC Area University Lebanese Clubs
Sunday December 2nd, 2007 4pm – 7pm
On December 2nd 2007, the Lebanese Collegiate Network (LCN) hosted its second Fundraiser Dinner at Aladdin’s Eatery in Arlington, VA. Over 20 people were in attendance, including students and young professionals from all around the DC metropolitan area.
Members from the University Lebanese Club (ULC) at the University of Maryland attended the event. Lebanese students from Georgetown University, George Washington University, Catholic University, and George Mason University were also present at the event. Serge Haddad (Treasurer) and Sevag Sislian (VP of Membership) flew specially from LA for the occasion.
The event gave Lebanese students an opportunity to interact with each other and initiate a coordinated effort to plan future events. After the Lebanese Student Organization at UMD presentation, Mr. Sevag Sislian, gave a brief presentation of some of the ULC’s featured at the LA fundraiser the previous week. Finally, the LCN board introduced the numerous programs available for students. These programs include the “Academic Excellence Scholarship”, “Student Exchange Program” and “Most Outstanding ULC Award.”
Thanks to your contributions and your generous donations, the LCN was able to raise enough funds through the DC and LA fundraisers to sponsor its student programs. The LCN Board thanks all students, professionals and members of the community that attended for their financial contributions. It is important that these tax-deductible donations continue to support the several initiatives the LCN is pursuing for the students.
The LCN Board is evermore determined to achieve the goals of developing the Lebanese students academically and professionally. If you would like to donate or learn more about the event or future events and programs please visit https://mylcn.org/sponsors/donate/
Remember, each dollar from your tax-deductible donation will be invested in the student members of the LCN. Please help us invest in our student membership.
