LCN Welcomes Zahra AbouKhalil, Vice President of Public Relations
Monday, September 28th, 2015 – To our membership, I write today to inform you of the changes that have recently occurred within our National Executive Board. Our elected Vice President of Public Relations, Layla Sareini, resigned from the Lebanese Collegiate Network due to an overwhelming workload in her academic and professional pursuits. We are so incredibly sad that she will not be on the board, however, Layla is still an avid supporter of the LCN, and will serve our organization in various capacities, especially through her involvement and leadership with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor’s Lebanese Student Association. We wish Layla the best of luck and look forward to working with her as a member of the LCN!
We are very excited to announce that Zahra AbouKhalil will be joining us as this year’s Vice President of Public Relations.
LCN family, please help us welcome and congratulate Zahra AbouKhalil, our Vice President of Public Relations!
Zahra was born in San Francisco, CA, but raised in a very Lebanese household. She has spent every summer in Lebanon visiting family and friends and holding multiple jobs at summer camps, volunteering at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon and acted as an assistant medical coordinator for Syrian Refugees. Zahra was first introduced to the LCN in 2011 at the annual convention. She knew she wanted to play an impactful role in the organization from the lessons she learned that weekend and the relationships she formed. Zahra graduated from UC Berkeley where she studied Public Health and Global Poverty and served as the External Vice President and the President of the ULC. Currently, she is working as a Business Analyst at Deloitte Consulting in SF. When she’s not editing slides or memorizing excel keystrokes, you can find her at the local mom and pop coffee shop, eating a donut and thinking about the next big thing.
